Strong Shoes - stopmotion film

This is a personal monograph for a fashion student who wanted to create a film based on her research in to armour for her third year collection. We looked in to all the things that protect us from life and different situations. We both collaborated on the concept and production planning and I then went on to edit the film.

If life sends us on strong paths, then we must wear strong shoes!

Collaborations - GPlants

I was with seeds and bulbs company GPlants for 2 weeks helping with packaging design and gift ideas.

Collaborations - Nonconform

Here is some of the stuff I got to get involved with on my awesome work placement at Nonconform in Liverpool.

(images to be uploaded soon!)

Collaborations - Heart - Mook Productions

I produced the poster design for the play Heart that was part of the Write Now Festival in Liverpool. My work was featured on flyers, production team t-shirts and any festival promotions. I also became involved in the rehearsals and became a part of the team. This was a brilliant opportunity and I met some fantastic people!

Graphic Arts Yr2 - Talk to Frank

The brief was to produce an interactive piece that raised awarness for a chosen charity and that also changed in time. I chose to do a screensaver for Talk to Frank. I will further develop this so that it changes from day to day showing information on different drugs. I went for a light hearted approach to fit in with Frank's non-patronising advertisements but without losing important information.

Graphic Arts Yr2 - Blue Roses

New album concept for Blue Roses following the theme of dark and hidden secrets. We were lucky enough to also present our ideas to Blue Roses' Laura Groves! (singer/songwriter.) This was a group project. As a group we all contributed to the ideas, development and final concept. My main contribution was to the final logo and website design.

Graphic Arts Yr2 - Lydia!

This is my interactive plaything called Lydia! It is a response to the word glitch. When you roll over the pictures of Lydia they move and make silly noises.

Graphic Arts Yr2 - Street signs

The brief was to find a sign on the street and make it more visually pleasing and relevant to the subject. I chose a for sale sign which was advertising a baby buggy and set up a child like scene using props and handmade typography.

Graphic Arts Yr2 - Six degrees of seperation, resaerch project

I created this poster from researching six designers/studios that were all connected in some way. I then replicated some of their fonts to visualize a summary of all my research. I also included the words of my essay at the bottom. This was A2 in size.

See following link to the blog of my research process.

Graphic Arts Yr2 - Typography

I developed this font from looking at the two very differnt characters, Woody Allen and Jordan aka Katie Price. I used American Typewriter regular (Allen) and American Typewriter bold to create a top heavy font (Jordan.) I then produced a large A0 poster again representing both characters.

Graphic Arts Yr1 - Summer Project

This is a font I developed from the worldwide issues I felt we faced today, such as war, money, crime and violence.

Graphic Arts Yr1 - Penguin book covers

We were given these three book titles and had to create the covers as part of a series.

Graphic Arts Yr1 - Bio SupaPhonic Festival

This was a really fun project which I want to eventually develop further. I created my own festival Bio SupaPhonic, which was based on the environment. All the energy and resources for the festival would be environmently friendly aswell as helping to promote a pollution free life. Here is the TV promo for my festival.
Music: Bob Sinclair feat Axwell - What a Wonderful World

Graphic Arts Yr1 - Kate Moss documentary TV promo

This was inspired by my 90's research that I did as part of our 'Decades project.' I chose Kate Moss as my 90's icon and used stop frame animation.

Music: Chumbawumba - Tubthumping
